Plastisols can be used to manufacture solid parts in an open or closed cavity. Liquid plastisol is poured into a mold, heat is applied to gel and fuse the plastisol, the mold and material is cooled, and the solid molded plastisol is removed/de-molded.
Toys, gasketing, mold in place liners, and soft fish worms are examples of molding plastisols. Special formulation needs may be required to allow the plastisol to de-mold from the cavity.
